Conflict of interest policy.

The Bikkja Trust board members, external advisors and grant receivers are required to abide by a Conflict of Interest Policy in order to protect and maintain the integrity of our grant awards, processes and the charity as a whole.

As such Trustees are not permitted to discuss research proposals with applicants in advance of decisions regarding funding. However, the Charity recognises that the hyperemesis gravidarum research arena, even on an international scale, is small, and therefore connections and collaborations already exist between Trustees and active researchers. Where conflicts may be present the Trustee and applicant are both expected to declare the conflict, and that Trustee will be excluded from discussion and decisions regarding that application.
